Landy,
I want to first thank you for arranging a fabulous vacation.
We both enjoyed it very much. We will be back.
Things we loved:
- The people. They are
warm and friendly. We felt very safe and welcome.
- Of course, the whole
country is beautiful. It was nice to see the varying
contrasts on our journey. San Jose was good. What we
liked most was the Cariari Country Club course.
- Montana del Fuego was
very nice and relaxing. The rooms and grounds were
beautiful. The tour guide on the hanging bridges tour
was exceptional. We felt like we saw a glimpse of real
life in Costa Rica.
- The Westin Resort is
fabulous. The food was great and all the employees
working inside the resort itself were wonderful. A
little more casual than we expected and hotter also.
That worked well because Bob doesn't really like to get
dressed up.
- The Blue Dolphin
excursion was perfect. The guys on the boat were great.

Landy,
I cannot begin to thank you enough for planning such a wonderful trip for
Lauren and Me. Even the weather was perfect! Every detail,
every hotel, every transfer and activity was perfect and we
could not have asked for more. I really appreciate all the
time and effort you put into planning a great trip for us.
Saying the trip exceeded our expectations would be an
understatement.
I
was somewhat skeptical of putting our trip (and safety) in
the hands of someone I had only spoken to on the phone;
literally, I could not have planned a better vacation for
myself if I tried and even in retrospect we would not have
changed anything about the trip. Well... maybe somehow tried
to stay for longer....
Thank you again. If you ever head out this way you have two friends in
Phoenix!

Subject: Our April 2011 Costa Rica Vacation
Hi Landy,
Karen & I wanted to thank you for the fantastic work you did in setting
up our recent Costa Rica vacation. We had a wonderful week
of relaxation at the Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort. From
the time we arrived at the Liberian airport to departure, we
and our group were treated first class. At our special
request through you, our suite was in a quite location
overlooking a lake and the golf course. The
transfer/transportation group (Denise and her company Xplore
Tours) and our guides Eugene, Alex and Paul were extremely
helpful and went out of their way to accommodate any of our
request, even at the last minute. They were all also very
knowledgeable regarding Costa Rica’s history and geography
adding in a lot of “local” color and flavor. Your
recommendations of activities such as the Sunset Cruise and
tour of the Palo Verde National Park complemented our days
off from some fantastic golf. Also, we really appreciated
having all your in country contact info and prompt
availability when needed, reinsurance if something
unexpected would happen (which of course did not).
A job well done! We would highly recommend your services to others.
Thanks for possibly the most relaxing vacation of our life’s
thus far……………….

Subject: George and I had a great time in Costa Rica
Hi Landy -
George and I had a great time in Costa Rica. Of course, my hole in one
was an added bonus!!!! Carlos Rojas took a few pictures of me and said he was going to put it in
the Reserva Conchal Facebook page. I did a search on facebook, but cannot find the page. Do you happen to know
what it is? Can you e-mail me the link. We have a facebook
page that is under George Craig.
Thanks for setting everything up for our trip. It was fun golfing with
you, I imagine you would have probably been under par had
you had your own clubs!!!!
Once again, Thanks for everything......Donna
Added note to Donna's
referrer copied to us: Thanks for recommending
Landy to help us plan our Costa Rica golf vacation. He even
played golf with us the first day we were there. We had a
great time in Costa Rica. We ended up playing 11 rounds in
one week. 7 at Reserva Conchal, 2 at Hacienda Pinilla and 2
at the Four Seasons. We stayed at the Four Seasons the last
night we were there and the rest of the time at the Reserva
Playa Conchal resort. The room we were supposed to have was
over booked, so we were upgraded to the presidential
suite!!!!
The courses were great. Maybe next time we will go during the rainy
season. I'm curious how the courses would be with thick
jungle instead of the drier jungle that we experienced. We
did hear some weird sounds coming from the trees, especially
at the Four Seasons course, what ever was making one of the
sounds, we did not want to run into.
We liked the Four Seasons course the best, but the greens were better at
Reserva Conchal. Landy made all of our arrangements as far
as booking tee times, hotel and transportation. He arranged
for us to stop at Tamarindo beach where we watched the
sunset and had dinner on the beach. This was after we played
two rounds at Hacienda Pinilla. The weather was great, being
from Arizona, we are used to the warm weather, it was in the
90's and the humidity was only around 40-50, so it was
pretty nice.
Of course....getting the hole in one just added to the great vacation.
Thanks, Donna

Subject: Our trip
Hi Landy and Carla!
Thank you both for all your help, we loved all of the parts of our trip.
We felt very comfortable knowing that Landy was an email or
call away. Landy, you have established quite a nice
reputation around Guanacaste, and I'm guessing Susan
deserves a lot of the credit. The sunset cruise was a great
addition and our crew was especially nice, they bent over
backward to make sure that we had everything that we needed.
Denise must run a very good operation as our transfers/guides, Eugene,
William and Alex, were all timely, protective and very
pleasant. Alex was very cheery after a very long day taking
us back to the Paradisus. Please pass our thanks on to
Denise if you would.
The Four Seasons turned out to be spectacular and we played
well, but Chandler and I were very happy that we were
staying at the Paradisus, much more manageable size with
lots of variety. We loved the evening shows, with a little
nightcap or two. The (sort of) Royal "Service" needs a
little help but I'm guessing that the Westin will change all
of that. We loved our villa close to the ocean but I have a
feeling that if you are part of the Royal Service you should
probably stay in one of the 2 towers within the Royal
Service area.
And BTW: The gift bags were great and I still have some of
the golf balls that you surprised us with, but Chandler is
still wondering about those damn purple trees.
Muchas Gracias, George and Chandler

Landy and Susan, Thanks
to your personal attention we had a great time in San Jose.
Everything worked as well or better than I could have
imagined when I was trying to put our trip together. We
loved Manuel Antonio and being with friends in a casual
atmosphere. I bogie boarded every day in fun surf
conditions. At first the temp difference was a shock but we
adapted and had a couple of great rainforest experiences and
loved the beach every day. If I can help you in any way let
me know. I will introduce your web site to a couple of club
pros I know.

2011 - Two letters from happy members of a large group from
Finland and Estonia, "Happy Hour was very much appreciated
(about 50 bottles of wine worth).....Golf courses were just
beautiful...."
Hi Landy, Thank you
once again for everything you went through for us. It was
very much appreciated among the group. We really enjoyed the
stay in CR.
You asked me to give you some feedback about our stay; I do not think
that we have anything to complain about all the arrangement.
Everything was fine and very well organized and punctual. We
felt very welcome from the very beginning. Happy Hour was
very much appreciated (about 50 bottles of wine worth) and
the second floor almost only for us was nice. Golf courses
were just beautiful and hotel were nice. Not the most modern
but absolutely served their purpose well in every respect.
All in all everything was much better than expected. We probably were
waiting for “maniana” attitude but that was not what we got.
I have included Antero Paalanen to this e-mail). He was supposed to be
our group leader but just one day before the trip he hurt
his leg. Doctor was not advising long flight with injured
leg and that’s why he stayed at home. He is the one that
organizes these kind of golf tours almost as a profession
and I am sure that after hearing our experience of CR he
wants to organize another trip to your beautiful country.
Therefore it’s most evidently useful that you both know of
each other addresses.
It was nice to learn to know you and thank you for everything. We are
looking forward to have you here in Finland some day.

2011 - "So, thank you so much for making our trip to Costa
Rica such a wonderful experience! We loved everything and
can't wait to come back again!"
I just wanted
to tell you what an absolutely fabulous job you did setting
up our trip through Costa Rica! The Springs Resort is
exceptional. Not only beautiful but everyone there was
wonderful to deal with. And special thanks for the spa
credit! We had a wonderful couples massage which was really
great to have after having spent the day on the "duckie"
river adventure! We also did the suspension bridge tour
while we were there. Coming from Park City, we really didn't
think the food prices were bad. They have an excellent chef!
The dinner menu's were fabulous.
Tamarindo was also great! We loved being right on the beach and having an
ocean view! It was great to be able to walk around the town.
There were many good restaurants and great little shops. We
did a zip line there along with our scuba dive up in
Flamingo.
I especially appreciated how thoroughly you set up the GPS for us. I
don't think we would have made it without it! Especially
going to Marks course and then to the hotel in San Jose. It
was a life saver!
So, thank you so much for making our trip to Costa Rica such a wonderful
experience! We loved everything and can't wait to come back
again! Sue O'Nan
Jan. 2011 - "It was
a great trip and we certainly enjoyed Costa Rica."
Landy, I know my wife e-mailed you to thank you for the great trip
and now that I have plowed through all the stuff that didn’t
take care of itself, I have the time to thank you also. It
was a great trip and we certainly enjoyed Costa Rica.
Without the GPS, driving could have been a nightmare. The
hotels were great; especially the Springs Resort and we
enjoyed everything at the Dira in Tamarindo. The negative
comments about Tamarindo were made by whinny pussies. We
came to Costa Rica without any expectations and wanted to
experience the culture. We certainly did; stopping at road
side restaurants, bars and using both hotel and local eating
establishments. 99% of everyone we came in contact with was
helpful. The food and liquid refreshments were always good
and we didn’t experience any problems. I expect to come back
for a visit in the near future. Again, thank you for all
your help and advise, Chuck

"...an
unforgettable experience.."
Returned home March 24th, 2010, to the northern Canadian winter after an
awesome 2 weeks at Playa Conchal Resort in Guanacaste, Costa
Rica.
I booked the resort through Landy Blank, who also arranged for a couple
of rounds of golf at Hacienda Pinilla. I am fairly certain
Landy did a little introductory work on my behalf at the
Reserva Conchal Golf Club as I have never had better
treatment at any golf course than what I experienced at
Reserva Conchal this trip. The Director of Golf Carlos Rojas
and his guys really know how to make a person feel welcome.
All booking arrangements through Landy went without a hitch and the trip
went smoothly, with a great room at the Playa Conchal, a
great welcome at the Hacienda Pinilla Golf Club, and an
unforgettable experience at the Reserva Conchal Golf Club. I
will most definitely contact Landy for future trips to Costa
Rica.
Thanks Landy. It was really a pleasure. Perhaps next time
we'll have a round of golf y una cerveza.

Landy Blank made our recent visit to Costa Rica one of the best travel
adventures I've ever had the privilege of experiencing, and
I've hit the road on similar junkets about 70 times in the

"all your planning

Hi Landy, As I had suspected ahead of time, all your planning on our
behalf made for a wonderful trip. It was obvious that you
had paved the way for our golf experience. We are a group
that is lucky enough to play great golf courses all over the
world, and The Iguana was a great track. The staff treated
us like we were "somebody", and I am sure that was because
of you. Your driver Orlando was great. What a nice man.

"We had the time of
our life."
Well, we hit the jackpot in Costa Rica. What a scenically spectacular
country. Not only is it breathtakingly picturesque but the
people are refreshingly friendly and easy to be with. The
golf courses are wonderful and the food is great. It sounds
like I could gone on and on about Costa Rica and I could. We
absolutely loved it. Landy Blank and his wonderful wife
Susan arranged every detail of the trip...rental cars to tee
times. We had the time of our life.
And that's the truth.

"Everything we were
told to expect was as described.."
Everyone was very friendly and always ready and available to assist us in
any way. At the hotels, the staff at the pro shops and
throughout the hotel were all very nice and responded
immediately to the mention of your name. We were very
impressed that there were no exaggerations or
misrepresentations. Everything we were told to expect was as
described and a few things exceeded our expectations.

A very tardy Thank You for planning such a wonderful vacation and for

Some gringos - and the number is growing daily - have grown so attached
to the country they have simply pulled up roots and
relocated. Blank is one of those gringos who got in close to
the ground floor. A native Pennsylvanian and former
defensive back at North Carolina in the 1960's, Blank and
his wife Susan fell in love with the country during their
visits there in the early 1990's. With his contacts in the
golf industry, the incredible landscapes, the
gringo-friendly environment, the existing courses, and the
knowledge that several large companies had already planned
golf destinations for the country led him to believe there
was a market that needed promotion. And he and his wife were
just the team to get it done. Blank's company (www.golfcr.com,
877-672-2057) is sort of a one-stop shop for golf tourists
considering a junket to Costa Rica. He won't personally be
with you every step of the way as he was while serving as my
host, but he or a member of his staff is a phone call away.
And, because I was able to spend quality time with Blank
while he served as my national golf tour guide, I saw with
my own eyes that he has the knowledge, power and connections
to fulfill nearly any travel request and to clear away any
possible hurdles.
Costa Rica - A Land

With the popularity of golf emerging in Costa Rica, there are bound to be

"People in the golf business don't want to hear this," says Landy Blank,

little golf." You don't have to worry about being hustled
